Meet The Founder

My name is Robert Gaytan. (And don’t worry about pronouncing my last name perfectly, there’s a good chance you won’t!)

I am a native Coloradan, born and raised in Greeley as the youngest of five children. Growing up with seven people in a 770-square-foot trailer, patience wasn’t just a virtue I learned, it was a survival skill I mastered. Whether it was waiting for the single bathroom, my turn at the dinner table, or sharing one soda at a restaurant, I learned early on how to read a room, respect the people around me, and occasionally test boundaries.

Where My Passion Started

Long before Bridge Technology Training existed, I was already doing this work. I started at T-Mobile in 2006 at a tiny kiosk in the Greeley Mall. Fueled by a genuine love for technology, I was ecstatic for the opportunity. My colleagues quickly realized that I attracted a unique clientele: older adults.

I somehow became the guy they wanted to wait for, earning a reputation for having endless patience. While other reps might have rushed through a transaction, my customers knew I would never hurry them out the door. Whenever someone walked in with a “complicated” problem, the team would say, “Let me get you connected with Robert.” I loved hearing their stories and accepted the challenge of translating “tech speak” into plain English. That is where my passion was ignited.

Seeing the Digital Divide

After years in retail, I transitioned into the B2B sector in 2015 and saw the same profound need for help. Visiting the homes of CEOs to show them how to use their devices taught me that regardless of tenure or position, the digital divide was growing. It left some of the most successful, intelligent people feeling isolated and embarrassed.

My life took a beautiful turn when I met my wife, Nicole. We quickly fell in love, and just eight months later, I moved across the country to Michigan to join her for her medical education. After leaving T-Mobile, I joined the Life Time Fitness family in August 2019. There, I realized that fitness isn’t just physical, the mental aspect is just as critical. I became the go-to resource for older members, helping them navigate the app, schedule classes, and troubleshoot tech issues. This is where my passion started shifting into a concrete plan.

Building a Foundation of Service

Our first boy entered the world in April 2022, just as Nicole was finishing her medical training. With our hearts set on returning home to Colorado, we decided I would become a stay-at-home dad to ease the transition for our family. Having the time to shift my plan into action was a blessing. This chapter has been defined by presence, patience, and building strong foundations.

I am a man of deep faith, and the Lord has always been my moral compass. Bridge Technology Training was built to share the same love, compassion, and grace that has been bestowed upon me. It brings me great pride to show my son’s the value of hard work, dedication, and what service looks like. I want them to see a father who values relationships regardless of age, treats the vulnerable with dignity, and uses his talents to serve his neighbors.

My goal is to be a blessing to everyone I serve. If you’re considering my services, I ask that you give me a chance. Allow me to truly show you who I am and how we can work together—not just as your “tech guy,” but hopefully as your friend.
